We are leading the charge

Providing training and practical skills to empower unprivilidged women and youth economically, our programme gives them a voice. We help ensure equal access to essential job skills that will guarantee a job or entrepreneurial journey.

One of the centre's aims is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

By involving all stakeholders from coffee farms to coffee washing , we want to create jobs for women and youth. Women contribute significantly to the global coffee sector. Between 20% and 30% of coffee farms are female-operated and up to 70% of labour in coffee production is provided by women, depending on the region.

Delivery of business training to coffee cooperative management and youth contributes toward SDG8 and SDG 10. It does this by providing education on skills that improve the capacity of agribusiness and entreprenuearial leadership to increase the income for the business and farmer-members, which in turn improves the livelihoods of the farmers through increased incomes.

Students get to learn about climate change (SDG 13) and its impact on coffee production and producers under the "Green Coffee" course
